When my daughters were younger, I loved telling them Bible stories that helped them learn about different character qualities. As they grew older, I often felt they needed a deeper understanding of what these qualities entailed and how they could be best developed. So, I started reading excerpts from the book 'Child Guidance' whenever a negative trait was displayed. Sometimes I'd ask the older one to read a few pages and summarize the text in a paragraph, and the younger one to copy a paragraph about the trait we were addressing. One day, while reading and talking with them, my younger daughter told me she liked it when I read from that book. I was surprised, but very happy, and we decided to use the book in our family worship to study character traits. I then created the following list, which I'm sharing with you to use as God guides you... during worship times or whenever needed.
